Location

The medical examination and blood tests are carried out at 17 Emily Place, followed by a chest x-ray performed at either Auckland Radiology at 87 Queen Street or Horizon Radiology at 280 Queen Street.

Time to complete medicals

Most reports are completed within 24 hours. However if any test results are outside of the normal range, you will be asked to see the doctor again, and other tests may be necessary. For followup testing, normal medical service fees will apply. Please allow more than 24 hours before your current visa expires to arrange your Immigration medical examination.

What to bring

Your NZ Immigration forms, preferably with section A and B already completed by the person to complete the examination. You can download this from NZ Immigration Medical Examination forms.
Three passport-sized photographs
Your Passport OR a verified photocopy of your passport showing your name, photograph and signature OR a NZ Drivers Licence with photographic ID (International Drivers Licence will not be accepted)
Any prescriptions glasses or contact lenses.

What to wear

We recommend that you wear skirts and trousers, together with normal underwear or boxer shorts.

Women 45 years and over will be referred for a mammogram if a recent mammogram report is not available.
